Product Control (P&L/ Valuations/ ACA)

Organisation 

Leading Trading House requires a Product Controller to support their Sydney Trading team. This is an ideal move for a part or newly qualified product controller - we are keen to see applicants who work in areas outside of Commodities, Fixed Income or Equities. 

Role 
 

• Daily risk based P/L analysis and commentary 

• Balance sheet analysis 

• Valuation Analysis of transactions 

• Asses appropriateness of valuation including fair value and model parameters 

• Production of monthly, quarterly and annual reporting and regulatory returns 

• Analysis of New Business proposals. 

• Fair value reporting 

• Work closely with the Valuation on monthly price testing. 

• Support infrastructure and quantitative projects across departments 

• Presentation of monthly P&L and Price Testing results. 

• Manage relationships across Front Office, Finance, Middle Office, Technology and Market Risk 

• being ran simultaneously in the AsiaPac region. Opportunity to be seconded onto independent PMO group for system and control projects that are

Individual 
 

• Direct experience within product Control within an investment Bank or Asset Manager

• Qualified accountant ACA, CPA, CIMA, ACCA or overseas equivalent 

• Experience of financial products including Rates, Equities, Derivatives and Structured desirable
